Wisconsin green lights delivery robots

The governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker, has signed a new law which will allow delivery robots to operate on sidewalks and crosswalks across the state. Wisconsin joins Virginia and Idaho in passing legislation which allow for state-wide robot delivery usage.

The new Wisconsin rules on delivery robots – enacted through State Senate Bill 148 – law limit the robots to a maximum weight of 80 pounds and a top speed of 10 miles an hour.
